MOVING ON... selling some pieces

Hello everyone!  I can't believe how long it's been since I last blogged... oh my goodness, the time
has flown by!  I haven't even had any time to visit your beautiful blogs in such a long time.
I sure have missed the camaraderie, my friends.  I hope you've all been well. :)

I have finally settled into the new place for the most part.  Still have a few things to do but just not
very motivated to decorate right now... much more important issues at hand at this time in my life, as
I'm sure you can imagine. :)  I do hope to post a little sneak peek of what I've done here at the new
place though very soon.

However, now that I have gotten settled in here, I finally have a better idea of what I want to hang
on to and what I'm willing to part with.  While it breaks my heart to let go of the island I had in my
previous home, I don't foresee having the room for this fabulous piece in the near future.  I would love
to pass it on to someone who I know is going to love and enjoy it just as much as I did.

I'm also letting go of the dining room set I had in my previous house, all but two of the chairs.

Pick-up only

Pick-up only

If you're interested in one or both of the above pieces, please feel free to contact me via email.  I will
be happy to answer any questions you might have.  If you would like to see more photos of these
pieces, you can browse through the dining room and kitchen posts on my sidebar

Well, my friends, that's it for now.  Thank you so much to those of you who have continued to pop in
to offer me your supportive words and have inquired on me and the girls.  I've read them all and can't
tell you enough how much I appreciate them.

Wishing you all the best...

'Til next time...

Hello everyone!  I hope you have all been well.  I've truly missed visiting with all of you...
Before I say anything else, I first want to say thank you so much for your thoughtful and encouraging
comments!  Even though I may not have the time to respond to all of you right now (preparing to
move), I read each and every one.  They truly lift me up with each word, and I can't thank you
enough! :)

Okay, so now that I've had a chance to get that out to you... let's move on to this fun scale
hanging planter.  This is something I did about two years ago, but this simple idea seems to be a
big hit on Pinterest, so I thought I would share it here again on my blog for those of you who
may have missed it.

When I found this scale in a local antiques shop, I thought I would use it in my kitchen, but my
ceilings were too low, and it just didn't feel right in there.  So my creative juices started flowing,
and I started thinking of the different ways I could use it.  This is what I ended up with...

...a hanging planter for some pretty spring flowers.  I made the basket using some chicken wire and
lined it with some moss that was actually growing in my garden, but I've since used moss that you can
buy at the local craft or hardware stores, such as Lowe's or Michael's.

I'm missing being able to do gardening right now... my favorite time of year, but I've finally
found a rental home that I'll be moving into very soon!  I get the keys next week!  I have
lots of painting to do before we can officially move in... lots to do!  I'm actually excited about
having a clean slate to make a cozy home that I love to come home to again... a home for me
and my girls. :-)

Thanks for visiting and for your sweet comments!

'Til next time...

Hello everyone!  I hope you all had a nice weekend.

Spring is definitely in the air here in Central California.  All of the flowering trees in town and in
the local orchards are in full bloom.  Some plants are also blooming in my garden as well.  I love
this color of lavender, so I brought some inside the house to add a little pop of spring color.

I also recently found this pretty scale over at Tracey's fabulous online shop, French Larkspur.  I've
been looking for a scale like this for a long time, but have never been able to find just the right
one.  I love this one for its wonderful patina, beautiful face and hand, and its black and white color.

Tracey sent this wonderful French letter with the most beautiful script on it along with my order...
so lovely... thank you, Tracey!

I've recently started looking for rental homes.  It's a little depressing, to say the least.  I have found one that's kind of cute, but I need more information on it still.  Hopefully, I'll be able to find out more about it this week... we'll see...

Ughhhh... I dread having to move.

Well, that's it for today, my friends.  I hope you all have a wonderful week!

'Til next time...
