Hello friends! I hope you're all having a wonderful week so far. I know many of you have been
hit by major snow and rain storms this week, and I'm wishing you all safe, dry, and warm.
I want to thank everyone who entered my giveaway this week, and especially to those of you who
blogged about it or posted it on your sidebars. There are way too many of you to name you
all, but I can't tell you enough how much I appreciate it!! :)
I've been so inspired lately by the beautiful table settings by Tracey of French Larkspur and
Maria of Dreamy Whites as well as the pages of Jeanne d'Arc Living Magazine. I'll be the
first to admit that I'm not the best at setting a pretty table, but I thought I'd give it a go. I had
a lot of fun doing it, but it was a mad dash trying to get it done before I had to go pick up the
kids from school. Some of my pictures turned out fuzzy, and I just didn't have the time to take
more... what you see is what you get. I hope you enjoy them anyway. :)
I love chocolate covered strawberries. These are so simple to make. I just chilled the
strawberries in the freezer for about an hour and then dipped them in Hershey's Shell Topping
(the kind you use for ice cream). It's so simple and delicious!
I placed chilled raspberries in Black Raspberry Fruit Fizz water. Again, so simple, and my
husband loved this. :)
I saw this idea in the January issue of Jeanne d'Arc Living and loved it. But... fair warning...
my vintage milk bottle broke from the heat of the candle. The glass just cracked and left half
of the bottle hanging there and the other half broke to pieces on the hutch and floor. :(
If you haven't had a chance to enter my giveaway yet, there's still time. Click here to find
out all the details.
Thanks for stopping by today and taking the time to leave your sweet comments! I read each and
every one and enjoy visiting all of you to see what you're up to.
Wishing you all a happy weekend!
'Til next time...
~ Jo :-)
I think you have a beautiful table setting!!!

Hi Jo,
ReplyDeleteOk, I had to re-read the part where you said you didn't set the prettiest table! Your table settings are always stunning! I really do love your simple yet oh so elegant approach, that vintage blue striped linen is beautiful, and so are the napkins wrapped in vintage French book pages. Tres chic!! And I adore all of your other fantastic photos. You probably get tired of me saying this, but I think you belong in Jeanne d' Arc Living magazine! PS: too bad about your vintage jar, looks pretty, but sounds like a fire hazard!
This is such a fresh and sweet table setting...I love how you have accessorized! And your pictures are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday, Jo! :-)
XO,
Jane

ReplyDeleteI'm still waiting for my issue of Jeanne d'Arc Living - it's neat to see a preview of it in your decorating but too bad about your jar. Pretty and practical don't always go hand in hand I suppose.
Lovely post and lovely pictures!
Jo, You did really good putting it all together.Your pics look great ! The candle. That is too bad. Maybe some lavender in it ??Sometimes we have to experiment on how to get these all put together. My husband calls from work and he will ask me what i am ripping up and moving in the house. Love the raspberry idea. Think I asked you a while back, but do you freeze your orange blossoms in ice for tea? Ahh... just thinking of my dad, told you he used to make for us.
Have a happy weekend, I'll be at marché aux puces (flea mkt), can't wait!
Your photos should all be in a magazine sweetie (or book).

Apparently you need to look with my eyes to see your settings, food and your kitchen. Love, love, love it all!
ReplyDeleteThese photos are GORGEOUS so I don't know why you think they aren't! JUST BEAUTIFUL! I want to come over and have lunch at your house. ;) I am wondering if maybe your milk jar was too cold for the heat of the candle? Maybe warm the next glass item up with hot water before you light the candle? Just a thought. I know heat can break glass if it is too cold. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful table setting with us!! I love it.
ReplyDeleteBlessings~

Beautiful table setting!
ReplyDeleteBut I have to say I cannot believe how popular those canning jar glasses are. They are a real bone of contention around here and I plan on posting about it! We are down to two of these glasses that my hubby worships! We bought a whole set at the hardware store 15yrs ago and I always disliked them...He loves them and to me it is right up there with that mans lazyboy chair! So now in blog land I am seeing everyone embrace them and here I've been trying to break the last two for years now lol !!
Maybe I'll have to start looking at them in different way!
Pamela :)

You know what's even better then chocolate strawberries is chocolate chip cookies made from coconut flour. I still like strawberries with chocolate but the coconut flour makes the chocolate chip cookies out of this world.
