Hello everyone! It's been cloudy and raining for over a week now, so when I saw these beautiful
roses at the grocery store the other day, I thought they'd be the perfect way to add a touch of Spring
to our kitchen/dining room. I had to take pictures, of course... I just can't resist. As I said in my last
post, I'll be adding pictures to my blog from time to time... nothing fancy... just having some fun. :-)
I'm really struggling lately with getting good photos with my point and shoot camera. I don't know if
it's getting wore out from all of the photos I've been taking or what, but I'm planning on getting a
new camera soon... just don't know when exactly. I had planned on buying one a few weeks ago,
but chose to buy the hedge for the front garden instead... all 32 bushes... chaching! So, the camera
will have to wait, but hopefully not for too long.
I won these beautiful goose eggs and feathers from Betty of Betty's Blog Box. She sent them to me all
the way from Austria. I thought they would be fun to display in this antique egg carrier I picked up
on an antiquing excursion a few weeks ago.
Betty also sent me this adorable clay bunny tag.
I love the beautiful scroll detail on it... so pretty. Thank you so much, Betty, for the beautiful gifts!
I just love them! They add a wonderful touch of Spring to my home. :-)
If you'd like to read more about how we remodeled our kitchen, click here. To see before pictures of
our kitchen, go the the Before and After page on the sidebar of my blog.
Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope the sun is shining wherever you are. :-)
'Til next time...

Pretty roses! I just love your kitchen/dining room. Each time I see it I'm in a near swoon (and more than a little jealous).
ReplyDeleteHi Jo!
ReplyDeleteIt is such a treat everytime I see you have done a post! Your spring touches are so beautiful...a little here and there ... I love them all. I especially love the blue pail on the table - I may borrow that idea. :)
Hope things are well with you and that you are enjoying more time for yourself and spring ~

LOVE your kitchen! It's so bright and beautiful!!! I LOVE the roses, that's my favorite color combo. The palest pink and green! I really like pink but if too dark I find they CLASH(although they wouldn't do that in your kitchen). But in my gardens I find myself using LOTS of Mauve pinks! It seems to sooth all color pallets!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing your home with us! LOVED Every DETAIL!
Hugs,
Donna
I would NEVER have tagged your photos from a point and shoot! Goodness you know how to work that thing! Gorgeous photo stream Jo. That was fun. :)
ReplyDeleteDonna

Hope your doing well and wishing you a lovely week.

Hi Jo, you're house is so beautiful. Don't know how you get away with those open cabinets here though. You must always be cleaning them. I'm too chicken or too lazy maybe. ;0) Glad you explained the roses. At first I was envious that your roses were blooming already when mine only have tiny buds just forming. I did buy two iceberg roses for the front. Can't wait for those to bloom. Have a great week friend.
ReplyDeleteHugs~ Amanda
Jo, what wonderful pictures! I thought those roses were peonies they are so big and beautiful!

You are proof positive that you can take gorgeous pictures with a point and shoot! I have hesitated getting any thing better than what I have because of the time and expense that will go into it. It's always good to see such great pictures on your blog of your beautiful home!!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Janie
Are you crazy girl? Your pics look sooo good! Just looking at that kitchen (you know i love it)I think mine will look a lot like yours when I paint the cabs white. I see you took off some of the doors, and I don;t know if I will do that because my cab interiors have the modern holes along the sides that allow for adjustable shelves...anyway, it was great looking at the kitchen. The roses would come home with me too.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy you did another post, I just adore your home Jo! Beautiful pics for sure....thank you for the continued inspiration :) Xoxoxo

Hi jo!
ReplyDeleteI have been a long time reader of your blog. Not saying much though. I usually ends up looking rather unintilligent when I am in here. Your home is gorgeous, thats one thing, but as you I love photographing, and boy girl you got the skills. So you will not loose me as a reader even though your photographs change caracter.
Sweet serendipity.. well your blog is just that for me. I had never heard this song before. I had to search, see I loved it so much. It made me so happy. I had to translate the word serendipity, since I am norwegian this was a unknown english word for me, and it can not be translated to one single norwegian word. But the meaning of it is just as pretty as the word itself.
I just want to thank you so much for introducing me to this song. I have made a new post about it in my blog now. I mentions you and links to you. And compliments your joyful blog. No worries you can read it, a part of the text is written in english and I dohave a translator if you want to read all. :)
Lots of kisses from Norway.
